1. What should I expect during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Please arrive with your mask on. Wait in your vehicle until your appointment
time—our sitting areas will be closed. Please do not bring extra guests.
We are sanitizing all work spaces and restrooms after each use.
2. What if I haven't received confirmation for my appointment?
If you haven't received a confirmation, please call or text at 832-449-6528. Allow us time to review your appointment. Appointments are usually confirmed within 3 days. We are an owner-operator establishment and appreciate your patience.
3. What to expect on my visit?
Upon arrival, follow the driveway to the back building. You will see our Plucked and More sign on our building. Park in a Plucked and More designated parking spot. Ring the top doorbell and your esthetician will permit access to the building and greet you. Before your service begins, restrooms are available with cleansing wipes for your personal use.
Facial customers: Drink plenty of water before and after. Please arrive with no makeup. Our skincare line of choice is Dermalogica which is botanical based, effective, and friendly to all skin types.
Wax customers: If you are taking a pain reliever, please do so at least 30 minutes prior to service. The hair should be long enough to pinch, or at least 2 weeks of hair growth. We recommend no sex immediately before or 24 hours after bikini waxing.
Laser customers: Please trim the hair before your services.
Please refrain from sweating and physical activity for 24 hours after wax and laser services.
4. What type of payment options do you accept?
We accept Zelle, PayPal, and Venmo. After your services are complete, you can send payment through one of these providers.
5. Where should I park?
Please follow the driveway to the back building and you will find plenty of designated Plucked and More parking or use street parking along Heights Boulevard. Do not park in front of the fire hydrant or block any driveways—you will be towed.
6. Do I need to plan ahead for my service?
All services: Please notify your esthetician of any medications, including topical skin treatments and products containing retinol, retina, salicylic
or glycolic acid, etc.
Wax services: The hair should be long enough to pinch, or at least 2 weeks of hair growth. We recommend limiting alcohol and caffeine before the appointment. Avoid waxing 3 days before and 3 days after menstrual cycle (more sensitivity). Avoid sex or vigorous sweating 24 hours before or after waxing appointment. Ibuprofen is permitted at least 30 minutes before to help with sensitivity. Exfoliate and enjoy a bath before your appointment to prepare the skin for hair removal.
Facial services: Bring a list of your facial routine. Please notify your esthetician of any medications, including topical skin treatments and products containing retinol, retina, salicylic or glycolic acid, etc.
Laser services: Trim the hair or bring your razor of choice for assistance.
7. Where are you located?
Plucked and More is in the heart of the Heights in Houston, TX, located at 811 Heights Blvd. Suite 3. Follow the driveway to the back building. Our address is located in-between 8th and 9th Street.
8. What do I do if I have to cancel?
In our booking app, click on your confirmation to reschedule and manage your appointment. You may also call or text the business line at 832-449-6528.
9. What are your sanitization protocols?
All technicians wear a mask and/or face shields continuously.
We use EPA and TDLR approved standards, as well as Lysol, Barbacide, CitrusII, Bleach, 90% alcohol to sanitize all areas after every appointment.
10. Can your business line receive texts?
YES! We can receive your texts at our main line at 832-449-6528. Many times, texting is the best way to communicate during business hours.
